STUBBS, Joan - 100 years of age, passed away peacefully, on May 1, 2024, after dealing with dementia for several years.
Joan was born on March 14, 1924, Croydon, England.
In 1944, she met and married Gordon Stubbs (now deceased), and followed him to Canada as a War Bride, on the Queen Mary.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Shirley Terry and son-in-law, George (Scarborough); and grandchildren, Loranne Bayford and husband, John (New Zealand), Marc Terry and wife, Alix (Etobicoke); and three great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Jack and Andrew.
A brief gathering for one hour, May 10, 2024 at 12:00 noon will be at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road, Toronto, Ontario. A private graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
