SHEPHERD, Robert "Bob" Harwood   -  February 10, 1929 - March 16, 2021

Bob passed away peacefully, at Tapestry at Village Gate West, with loved ones by his side, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Predeceased by his wife Bette, daughter Robin and sister-in-law Joan.

Bob will be greatly missed by his son-in-law Angelo Diana (Jane); his nephews and nieces: Bruce, Wendy, Warren, Ruth, David, Ann, Brenda, John, Daniel, Alexa Claire; and his brothers and sisters-in-law: Eleanor, Paul, Robert and Sharon.

He will also be missed by his many friends and the staff at Tapestry, his Lakeview golfing buddies and his friends at Sansovino in Florida. Bob was born in Toronto, where he lived, married, worked and raised a family.

He was a teacher, secondary school principal, CFL football referee, birder, nature guide, superb baker of bread and an avid golfer.

Bob had an impact on everyone he met and his warm, kind, generous and loving spirit will be missed by all.

A special thank you to Dr. Daniel Yokum, the Dorothy Ley Hospice Palliative Care team, the Mississauga Halton LHIN, the staff of Central Nursing Agency and the warm, kind and generous staff of Tapestry.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date when we can all gather to grieve his passing and celebrate his life.

Should you wish to honour Bob, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
