Badner AllanBADNER, Allan - We mourn the passing of Allan Badner z"l who passed peacefully at home in Toronto, Canada on Saturday, March 20 2021 - 7 Nissan 5781.

Allan was the dedicated husband of Arlene Badner z"l who preceded him in passing.

Beloved father of Lisa (Norman) Judah, Jody (Sam) Laor, and Daniel (Jeanita) Badner.

Dedicated grandfather of Alex, Kira, Cory and Kelli, Ari, Jordyn, Hayley and Macey.

Adoring great grandfather of Owen and Ayden.

Allan was born in Winnipeg Manitoba in 1932, but through the depth of the depression, the family lived in a small wooden shack in Cranberry Portage, a town of 100 in the far north of Manitoba, with no running water, no electricity and no telephone, just a train that passed through once a week.

After Allan's mother built a business shipping fish, they relocated further north to Flin Flon where Allan spent most of his childhood. Allan graduated from University of Manitoba as a civil engineer, he relocated to Toronto. Allan grew a very successful engineering and construction business. In the industry he was respected for his integrity, reliability and technical expertise.

Shortly after arriving in Toronto, Allan met Arlene Band and together they built a loving family. Their house on Tanbark Cr was the center of social activity and Allan could be found frequently putzing in the garden. Allan and Arlene were some of the original members of Adath Israel Congregation and frequently engaged in the community and Israeli affairs.

Arlene passed unexpectedly in 1992, shortly after Allan retired. Allan subsequently married Gila Fainstein from Winnipeg. Allan was opinionated when you did not ask for it and empowering when you needed it. He was a loyal friend and loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.

A Family graveside service will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021.

Donations can be made to OneFamily.
