Papaeliou KlaenthisPAPAELIOU, Kleanthis   - With his loving family by his side in his 91st year.

Beloved husband of Lena, who was the love of her life.

Devoted, respected and dearly loved Father of Sophia, Dorothy and Louis.

Cherished and adored Grandfather of Elena and Peter (Lauren).

Greatly loved and respected father-in-law to Anthony with whom he shared a close friendship and whom he adored and loved very much.

Kleanthis was born in Antartikon, Greece and arrived in Canada in 1951 at the age of 21 with only $30 in his pocket to join his brother.

He came to this country seeking opportunity and peace. He would later bring his mother, 2 more brothers and sister to Canada to join him.

A diligent hard working individual, he established himself as a restauranteur in Leaside and in Richmond Hill. He was also a professional baker and a musician (bouzouki).

He had a natural talent for music and was able to replicate a song by ear after only hearing it once.

Along with his brother playing the clarinet they formed a professional band and played at many venues for over 60 years serenading everyone with his bouzouki.

In 1955, he met and fell in love with a beautiful woman, Lena who would soon become his wife. They fell in love and he swept her off her feet.

They were married in 1956. Kleanthis was the love of her life and her great devotion, respect and love for him made for a solid marriage for 65 years.

Together they shared a romantic love story and raised a loving family together. Her love for him will remain everlasting.

He will be greatly missed by his children to whom he instilled love, devotion and a strong work ethic. He has left behind great memories for them that shall remain in their hearts forever. Very dear to his heart were his grandchildren Elena and Peter to whom he gave so much love and cherished memories.

He had great respect and admiration for them and was forever proud of everything they achieved. His cherished love for them will always be in their hearts.

Private funeral has already taken place.
