Ormson DollyORMSON, Mabel 'Dolly' Irene (nee Temple) - Mabel “Dolly” Irene Ormson (nee Temple), age 97, passed away peacefully at Parkview LTC in Stouffville on March 23, 2021.

Dolly was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Henry, and her siblings, Nellie Fuller, and Harry and Roy Temple.

Dolly loved spending time with her family, including her three children Bill (Colleen), Judy (Frank), and Wayne (Tammie), seven grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was also adored by her many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was a skilled quilter, sewer, crafter, and loved tending her garden. She was quietly generous with her time, performing countless hours of volunteer work, as well as receiving a special honour from the Red Cross for donating blood 75 times.

Dolly demonstrated a beautiful way to live: being grateful for everything and envious of nothing, feeling excitement for simple pleasures, and approaching each day with humility and humour. Everyone who knew Dolly will remember her for her huge smile and quick wit. Although today our hearts are heavy, they are also full of gratitude and precious memories.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Parkview for their excellent care in Dolly’s final years during particularly difficult circumstances.

In Dolly’s remembrance, donations to Parkview Home in support of Care for Seniors are appreciated (www.parkviewhome.ca).

Arrangements entrusted with Jerrett funeral home, Scarborough chapel. Due to Covid restrictions, there will be a private Celebration of Life on March 30 to honour Dolly.
