RAWLINS, Maurice Lawson 'Bob' - (October 14, 1925 – March 23, 2021) - Maurice (Bob) Rawlins died peacefully at the age of 95 at Rouge Valley Health Centre on the evening of March 23, 2021, with his beloved wife by his side.
He was born on October 14, 1925 in Georgetown, Guyana to Beatrice Gomes and Cecil Rawlins. Bob married the love of his life, Jessmin Persaud, on November 23, 1963. He, Jess and their 3 children immigrated to Toronto, Canada on August 27, 1971.
He had a successful career as an accountant. He was a very active and busy man. He was a marathon runner, traveler, thinker, music lover and great dancer. He was a reliable and devoted friend to many and most of all, he was a family man.
Predeceased by his mother, father and 2 sisters, Phyllis and Thelma. Survived by his loving wife, Jess; children, Alicia, Peter (Caroline) and Sharon; grandchildren, Jessica, Jaden and Matthew; brother, Joseph (Adele) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He lived. He was loved. He will be missed everyday. Thank you to all for the love and support the family has received during this difficult time.
