Greig MarieGREIG, Marie Veronica - (November 11, 1941 – April 26, 2021) -

Our family Matriarch Marie passed away peacefully at home on April 26th, 2021 at the age of 79 with her beloved husband and family at her side.

Loving and devoted wife of James for over 60 wonderful years.

Loving Mother to Janet (Vaughan), Kelly (James), and Bradley. A proud Grandmother to Tyler, Jessica, Victoria, Madison and Brendan.

Sister of late Margaret and brother Terry, and Auntie to Alison and Megan.

She will fondly be remembered by her friends, especially her best friend Dianne.

Marie was a strong woman who fought a tough battle of cancer. God has gained a beautiful angel today.

Marie was a very kind, generous woman who dedicated 45 years volunteering with the St. Vincent De Paul Society for her parish of Transfiguration of Our Lord Church. She also volunteered at The Royal Canadian Legion as a member of the ladies’ auxiliary for 25 years.

She cherished spending time with her family for special occasions, and time at her cottage where she enjoyed nature and many days relaxing on the beach. Marie was a very active participant in many activities including card games, euchre being her favourite. In her past time, she loved singing, listening to music, and watching old movies.

A special thanks to Dr. Arthur Kushner, nurse Rose, and our special friend and neighbor Maria for all of their wonderful care and support.

Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, the funeral service and interment will be private. A mass and celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with Ward funeral homes.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Vincent De Paul Society or a charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated.
