FRENCH, Muriel ‘Sis’ (nee Halliwell) - (November 21, 1921 – April 29, 2021) - Peacefully in her sleep, after a long and loving life, Sis has left us to join once again with her beloved husband Ernie.
Sis was a person of quiet strength, always ready to contribute support when needed.
Whether by providing the practicalities of food and sewing clothing or by knitting toys for children in hospital or by rising to her full 5’ 1 1/4” of height to voice her opinion and take a stand, Sis’s presence was felt.
Sis was a longtime supporter and member of the The Mimico Lawn Bowling Club, and the ‘always ready for adventure’ Grandma to her five grandchildren.
She leaves her son Doug (Deborah), daughter Shirley (Harold), grandchildren Brendon (Emily), Jocelyn (Matt), Ryan, Greg and Mark and great-grandchildren Everitt and Samantha.
Arrangements entrusted with Thompson funeral home, Aurora. Due to restrictions, a family funeral has been held.
