HAINSWORTH, Lillian Georgina - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mum Lillian Georgina Hainsworth on May 19, 2021, at the age of 96, at Humber River Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late Frederick Hainsworth (2005).

Lillian is survived by her sister June Pogue and family, her children; Bruce, Marie, Tyrus (Jane), Glen, Penny and Grant (Angela), her grand and great-grandchildren; Steven (Corynn, Jack and Nathan), Gregory, Katherine, Tyrus Grant, Mason and Nolan.

Lillian was swept off her feet by Fred while dancing at the Masonic Temple on Yonge Street. They were married on October 18, 1947. Children soon followed and Lillian focused her energy on raising their 6 children. Even as Lillian and Fred aged, they could still "Cut a mean rug."

She will be remembered for her happy, friendly personality, her sense of humour and not wanting to impose on anyone. She will also be remembered for her attachment to a decades-old rotary telephone.

Arrangements entrusted with Scott funeral home, West Toronto chapel. At Lillian's request, cremation has taken place. Due to covid restrictions there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date allowing family and friends to gather safely to honour Lillian's life.

We ask that you keep Lillian and the family in your thoughts and prayers.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Heart & Stroke, Canadian Cancer Society or the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital.
