Daigneault DwightDAIGNEAULT, Dwight Oscar Joseph - In his 85th year. On May 25, 2021. Dwight left this life peacefully at home in the loving presence of his wife, son and brother.

He died as he lived: on his own terms.

Beloved and loving husband of Lynn née Gould for over 40 years. Loving and very proud father of Dwight David Daigneault.

Devoted and loving grandfather 'Grumpy' to Jessica and Aidan, the 'two best grandchildren in the world'.

Predeceased by his parents Oscar Joseph Daigneault and Luna Louise Dole Daigneault of the Eastern Townships, Quebec and by two siblings Malcom and Dianne.

Predeceased by his children William (Billy) Douglas and Jamie Joanne.

He will be greatly missed by his next to his age sister Helene Willey of Santa Barbara California and his youngest brother David of Prince Edward County. Oldest brother to Marilynn and Steve. Will be missed by his sisters-in-law Paula Gardner and Shelley Daigneault.

Dwight had so many accomplishments in life: pilot, military service, boat builder, teacher, counsellor, cottage builder, sky diver at age 80, stained glass artisan, OSSTF executive and after his first retirement, Mediator with the Ministry of the Attorney General.

Cherished old friends. and celebrated what was really important during the last year and a half of Covid restrictions: the love and 'at the gate' visits of family and friends, moments of laughter, 'houseparty' on Sundays with Dwight David, Jessica and Aidan, and treasured memories of family dinners, celebrations and family travel.

A great husband, dad, grandfather and friend. A good man.

These past two years he was strong, brave and valiant, until he couldn't be anymore.

We thank the wonderful caring staff and doctors at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in particular Dr. Geoffey Liu, and the Temmy Latner Palliative care centre. We are very grateful for MAID.

Arrangements entrusted with Rosar-Morrison funeral home. Due to Covid restrictions, a small private graveside funeral has taken place.

No flowers please. Instead, raise a glass of bourbon or a Manhattan in Dwight's memory.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, or a charity that is dear to your heart.
