Marlatt GuyMARLATT, Guy Rowen   - In Loving Memory We are saddened to announce the passing of our much-loved husband of Jean, father of John (Jane), predeceased by Michael (Cynthia), Dave (Carol), Dana (Lauren), Dianne (Bruce), Tim (Anna), and Celina.

Grandfather to 15 and great-grandfather to 17 wonderful great-grandkids, recently a great-great-grandfather, and beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews and their children, Born in Ebenezer in 1927 to Harold and Martha Marlatt, one of four brothers.

Following in his mother's footsteps, he started teaching in August 1946 and taught for almost 40 years for various boards and schools across Ontario.

He was recognized for his outstanding contributions to science teaching and founding the Peel Science Fair. 

 

A believer in service and community, Guy was also a Rotarian and Optimist Club member, serving in Clarkson, Orangeville, and Caledon. He and Jean love their property in Caledon, where they raised and raced Standardbred horses for many years.

In his 80s, Guy joined the Headwaters Carvers Club, producing many keepsakes for his family.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Bird Studies Canada, Toronto Conservation Authority, or Forests Ontario.
