METIVIER, Eleanor Iyin - Born October 25, 1920 in Trinidad WI, the second eldest daughter of Rosalie Gilbert and John Lee-Nim, Iyin Eleanor Metivier (Lee-Nim) sadly passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021, at her home in Thornhill, ON.
Eleanor married her husband Carl Henry Metivier in Trinidad, on July 5, 1942, and soon became the devoted mother to Marilyn, Carol, Carl Jr. (Gubby) and their youngest Patricia.
Their family continued to grow with the addition of eight grandchildren (Ricardo (Ricky), Sean, Nigel, Roland Jr. (Junie), Natasha, Natalee, Alvaro and Martin).
Also known as GG, she was a beloved great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren (Alissa, Ashley, Blake, Matthew, Marcus, Olivia, Cameron, Gisele and William).
She worked as an accountant for many years at Kent Drugs in Malton, Ontario until such time that she retired.
Eleanor is predeceased by her husband Carl (d. 1990) and her children Carl Jr. (d. 1993), Carol (d. 2005) and Patricia (d. 2020).

The in-person portion of Iyin’s memorial service in Richmod Hill on Tuesday, July 6th, 2021 will be restricted to immediate family.
