LAW, John David   -  It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mr. John David Law on June 30, 2021 at the age of 84 years.

John is survived by his wife Joyce, his three loving sons: John (Andrea) William (Mia), and James (Marlene), his grandchildren Miranda (Dave), Steven (Carmen), Ryan, Michael, Julia and Aliya, and two great-grandchildren Nathan and John James, including 10 nieces and nephews, as well as numerous other family and friends.

John was predeceased by his parents Mabel and Roy, siblings Norm Law, Helen Merrill, Rosalie Mohamed, Herbert F. Law, T. Hubert Law and Roy Law Jr. John received several distinctions and had many hobbies throughout his life.

John graduated from Mechanical Engineering with honors from Queens University, and completed his MBA post graduate.

Some awards of mention: Top Employee Suggestion Award of the Year Ford Motor Company, Alberta Government Minister's Merit Award for Technical Innovation, Citizenship Award United Way, and an honorary Member of 418 Squadron Edmonton.

John was well known to be a hockey, football, skiing, curling, and car racing enthusiast.

He participated in the Canadian Winter Car Rally, and also spent time at the rink as a hockey grandfather, great-grandfather, and coach.

A service celebrating John's life will be held in Edmonton, Alberta, on Thursday, July 8, 2021.
