Jeffrey LenaJEFFREY, Lena    - April 10, 1923 - July 1, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce Lena Jeffrey (nee Dobrowolski) peacefully passed away in her home on July 1, 2021.

Lena was born to John and Julia Dobrowolski in Star City, Saskatchewan on April 10, 1921.

Lena met James (Jim) Jeffrey, the love of her life, while he was stationed with the RAF in Estevan, Saskatchewan, and it was there that they were married on December 31, 1943.

Soon after they moved to Jim's home in Dalkeith, Scotland and lived with Jim's parents until the war was over.

The couple moved back to Canada and settled in Toronto before buying their house in Willowdale , Ontario.

Lena loved her job at the Tea Room in Simpsons and chose not to retire until she was 70.

She and Jim enjoyed an active social life, which included spending their summers at their cottage on Snake Island in Lake Simcoe.

Lena loved her family dearly. She was the fourth of nine children and always made it a priority to travel back to Saskatchewan, Thunder Bay and Arizona to visit her siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lena was predeceased by her parents, her husband Jim Jeffrey, siblings Ann Fedorychka, Matt Dobrowolski, Pauline Woods, Olga Antonyshyn, Jennie Sturby, Russel Dobrowolski, Walter Dobrowolski and her nephew Billy Antonyshyn.

She is survived by her sister Hilda Sinclair and numerous nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank Russel Alatiw, Armi Crucero and Resurrcion Semante for the loving care they provided for Lena during the last seven years of her life.

Following her wishes, Lena spent her final years in her Willowdale home, and at her request there will not be a funeral.

Her ashes will be scattered alongside her husband Jim's.
