Marcellin MaxineMARCELLIN, Maxine - Our hearts weigh heavy by the untimely passing of Maxine on July 21, 2021.

Beloved daughter of Winston & Denise, sister of Dionne Marcellin-Lewis and aunt of Nathan, Nya and Nico.

Maxine will be greatly missed by all family, co-workers and friends. Maxine led her team with heart, kindness and grace within the John Hancock Retirement organization in Toronto.

She was a bright light whose quick smile was always at the ready to illuminate and lift someone’s day.

Maxine was incredibly nurturing, always making sure someone else’s needs were taken care of before her own as evidenced by joining many ERG groups and being an active member of work committees, often taking a leadership role. She was always measured and composed in the manner in which she spoke so as to articulate her thoughts thoroughly and in a way that her audience would understand.

Maxine coached and mentored formally and informally at every level in our organization, always generous with her time, as she never made you feel rushed or harried and seemed to make her time available to anyone that needed it.

Outside of work Maxine was devoted to many artistic endeavors. She was an amazing singer, often participating in Choir! Choir! Choir! Events in and around Toronto and was a member of several choral groups including the Manulife choir for the annual holiday celebration.

Maxine, we miss will miss your humour, your advocacy for what you believed in, your devotion to helping others, your ear to bend and your sage advice.

Visitation will be held at Lynett Funeral Home, Toronto on July 30th. The service will take place at Nativity of Our Lord, 480 Rathburn Rd, Etobicoke on July 31, 2021 at10:00 a.m.
