Russell DorothyRUSSELL, Dorothy - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dorothy on Monday August 2, 2021 at the age of 85 years.

Dorothy is now re-united in heaven with her dear parents Agnus and Ernest Bickerstaff.

She was the loving wife of Brian Paul Russell. Dorothy was the cherished mother of Linda Bugliarisi and Paul Russell. She was the devoted grandmother of Lauren Bugliarisi and her partner George Bailey and Luciano Bugliarisi.

She was the admired sister of Ernest Bickerstaff (predeceased) and his wife Ethel (predeceased), Dennis Bickerstaff and his wife Francis, Iris (predeceased) and her husband David Gallagher (predeceased), Philip Bickerstaff (predeceased) and his wife Elsie and Sylvia and her husband Peter Gillies.

Dorothy will be sadly missed by all her family, friends and all who knew her in Canada and Northern Ireland.

Arrangements are entrusted with Scott funeral home, Brampton chapel. In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, private cremation has taken place. Dorothy’s ashes will be laid to rest in Glendale Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.

Our family would like to thank all our friends and family for their support, prayers and love over the past few years during Dorothy’s illness. It has sustained us during some difficult times.

On behalf of Brian and Dorothy we want the community at Daysprings to know how blessed we are to be part of community that is so caring and giving. We would also like to thank Dr Kurki, Dr Maida and finally Dr Otal and all the nurses for the care and compassion shown to mom and making her comfortable in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Etobicoke General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
