Penstone CharlesPENSTONE, Charles   -  It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful father, Charles Penstone on August 1, 2021.

Charles, 'Chuck', died peacefully with family by his side at Abbeylawn Manor, Pickering, just 5 days short of his 94th birthday. Charles was predeceased by his wife, Betty June.

Chuck was an extraordinary man who loved life and lived it to the fullest.

He had a passion for downhill skiing, sailing, walking Cocoa Beach, hiking through the woods, car racing, windsurfing, Sinatra's music and cookies.

He was a successful entrepreneur who began building homes in Scarborough with his company, Northview Construction, and moved on to open several golf courses, including Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club, Queensville.

For more than three decades, Chuck was also co-owner of the famous Toronto jazz club, George's Spaghetti House. He will long be remembered for his generous spirit, boundless energy, incredible work ethic and sense of humour.

His most important legacy is his enduring love of family and friends.

Chuck will always be loved and greatly missed by 'his girls', daughters, Linda, Debbie, Lisa and Nina; sons-in-law, Bill and Al and Lisa's partner, John; grandchildren, Ryan (Christine), Patrick (Rebecca), Dana (Scott), and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nathan, Charlotte and Emmerson Jane; brother-in-law, Reggie and his family, Patsy and Regan; sister-in-law, Sue and her family, Shawn (Nancy), Sara and Blake and extended family, Ruby, Ken, Rowan, Julie and their families.

Chuck will be forever in the heart of his beloved Bev Ralston.

Thank you to the incredible staff at Abbeylawn Manor Retirement Home.

We will forever be grateful for their care, compassion and kindness.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
