HARRIS, Edna (Lane) - Born August 14, 1918, passed away peacefully after a short Illness at Parkview Home in Stouffville August 12, 2021 just two days before her 103rd birthday with her daughters at her bedside.

Edna was born and raised in Toronto. She worked at Moffats Appliances, working on munitions during World War II, and next with Kodak inspecting photographic papers in Weston, Ontario.

Then she married and raised a family of three girls with her husband Raymond. They moved around Southern Ontario following Ray’s assignments with Ontario Hydro finally settling in Markham, Ontario where they lived for 45 years until Raymond passed away in 2012. The following year she moved into long term care at Parkview Home.

She was one of six children. She is predeceased by Lillian, George, Irene, and William and is survived by her brother Tom. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her three daughters Susan (Malcolm), Elizabeth (Art) and Margaret, her two grandchildren, Bryce and Nicole, and her extended family and friends.

Family was the center of Edna`s life.

The family wishes to thank the staff members at Parkview Long term Care for their support and loving care of Edna during her eight years as a resident.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday August 21, 2021 at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham, with a memorial service following.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer Association or any charity of your choice.
