PALMATEER, Helen - On August 5, 2021, one and a half years after surviving COVID-19, Helen finally surrendered to the march of time and died peacefully, at 97 years of age, under the kind care of nurses and PSWs at Rekai Centres Toronto - Sherbourne Place.
In addition to being resilient physically, Helen was fiercely independent, prayed regularly, and on a modest income regularly supported international initiatives to improve the lives of others.
She was predeceased by her brother, Albert and her parents, Robert and Rachel Palmateer.
Helen will have a private burial in her home town of Tweed, Ontario.
