LEAVER, Velma Margaret (nee DAVIS)   -  Peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 90 years.

Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and the other half of Dum and Mad.

Predeceased by her husband Larry.

Lovingly remembered by daughters Debra (Brian) and Terri (Doug); grandchildren Samantha and Josh; Michael (Janice), Heather, Katie (Paul), and Kyle; great-grandchildren Alex and Kayley; sister-in-law Mary Ellen (Bob); many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents, Vernon and Margaret Davis, and sister June.

Velma taught elementary school, retiring from Fairhaven School in 1977.

With summers off, the family spent many summers at the cottage on Echo Lake.

Bridge was her greatest passion along with her grandchildren.

Velma was an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Church, spending hours knitting and helping to sell the items at Sherway Garden's Hometown annual event. Velma loved to walk, read, play bridge, swim in her pool, and enjoy her daily glass of wine.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Paul the Apostle Church or West Acres Senior Centre, would be appreciated.
