TOUGH, Robert Bruce - It is with sadness that the family of Bruce Tough announces his death on September 30, 2021.
He died peacefully at the Toronto Grace Health Centre.
He is survived by his son, Spencer Tough.
Bruce was predeceased by his wife, Victoria Askin in 2018 and son, Connor Tough (1995-2021).
Bruce was raised in Sudbury, Ontario by his father, Ron Tough, stepmother, Penny Earley, along with two sisters, Alicia (Steve O’Gorman) and Fionna Tough.
Bruce enjoyed visiting his mother’s family out west. He is survived by his mother Gloria Kerwin (Rusty Green), his grandmother Frances Drefke, half siblings Richard (Kristine) and Kevin (Carolyn) Tough, and Lisa Kerwin (Allen Seaman). He will be missed by many cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends.
Bruce enjoyed nature and being outside observing wildlife was a favourite pastime. He also loved to fish, and he passed this passion onto his sons, Spencer and Connor.Bruce was well thought of and loved for his honesty, his kindness, his sense of humour, his wit and intelligence.
A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held at a future date.
The family wishes to thank the sixth floor frontline workers at Toronto Grace Health Centre for their compassionate and loving care of Bruce in his final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made online in memory of Bruce to the Toronto Grace Health Centre, 650 Church Street, Toronto, Ontario.
