Leonard JohnLEONARD, John Graham  - March 2, 1956 - October 28, 2021

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of John Leonard after a brave battle with cancer.

Loving husband and partner of Cheryl Butler.

John is survived by his father Graham Leonard, (the late Lois), his brother Paul (Janice), and Mark (Denise), and nephews Craig and Cameron.

John was the loving brother-in-law to Pam and Kevin Lockey, Ed and Rachael Coleclough, nephews Ron and Don Allen, Mark (Tracy) Butler, Katie (Shane) Storring, and Andrew (Rebecca), as well as great and great, great uncle to many nieces and nephews.

John was a lifelong resident of Richmond Hill and was committed to his community. He was a minor league hockey referee for 15 years. He and three friends established the Richmond Hill Mens Hardball League, which continues today. He was an avid sports fan. He loved football, The Raptors, baseball, also enjoyed many other sports as well as playing golf.

He worked in operations at CN for over 23 years. Following CN, John became co-owner of the UPS store in Aurora for over 10 years.

Visitation will be held at Marshall Funeral Home, Richmond Hill, on Wednesday, November 3rd from 6-8 p.m. Guests may register when they arrive.  A private family memorial service will be held on Thursday.

If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Sunnybrook Foundation will be appreciated.
