SWARTZ, Annette (nee Mendelson) - (September 4, 1928 to October 30, 2021) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annette at Mackenzie Health in Richmond Hill, with her daughters, son-in-law and brother at her side.

Annette was predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Tina, her cherished husband Dave (2007).

Loving mother of Marlene (Chris) Porter, and Karen Swartz. Devoted grandmother to Matthew (Erin) Porter. Dear sister to Sylvia (late Morton) Pullan, Marvin (Helen) Mendelson and the late Molly (Irving) Marcus.

Aunt, Great Aunt and cousin to many, who she loved dearly from the Pullan, Marcus, Mendelson, Winch, Fayman, Laderman, Swartz & Zeidenberg (Magder) families.

Annette was a multi talented woman. She was feisty, knowledgeable, could depend on her for advice and pointing you in the right direction, best friend to her daughters, devoted to her family and friends. Most of all Annette was loved and cherished her grandson Matthew Porter. For many, years she was known as the Tennis Grandma who devoted herself to extensive hours of watching Matthew’s tennis lessons and travelling to his tournaments.

Throughout the pandemic Annette used this time to let her creativity shine. Creating flower arrangements, cooking delicious meals and spending hours doing research on the internet, texting and sending emails to family and friends.

She touched everyone who knew her and she will be deeply missed.
