THORPE, Derek - Passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the age of 83. P. Eng., devoted father, Master Bootmaker, AA Oldtimer, and Performer.
Reunited with his beloved daughter, Charlotte Eliza Grace (2016).
Much-loved by Nancy, Pam, Luigi, Alex, Nick, Jim, Jane, Charlie and Helen.
Derek had many fond memories of his family in England, including his niece Kathryn (Chris), Christine, and many others.
He will be dearly missed by his many colleagues and friends. Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of Derek's life will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at 11 a.m. Due to the limitations still in place surrounding COVID-19, attendance is limited to invited guests only.
For those who wish, donations may be made to the Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra, directed to the Charlotte Thorpe Memorial Scholarship.
