IWASIW, George   - The family of George Iwasiw announces with sadness, his passing on November 14, 2021, in his 75th year.

He is survived by his wife Sandra, his sister Carroll (Nur), and his brother James; he was predeceased by his brother Joseph.

George will be missed by his family, many friends and his associates, especially his two adopted daughters (Samantha and Sabrina Janes and his nephew Beau Mitchell (USA)).

In life, George was devoted to his wife of 48 years, Sandra.

He was proud to be a Professional Engineer and co-founding partner of Leeswood Design Build Inc.

He worked at Inducon for 19 years and Leeswood for almost 20 years. In his leisure time, George enjoyed traveling around the world and taking day trips into the countryside. He enjoyed the theatre (musicals), curling, lawn bowling, puttering in the garden, and taking long walks around his neighborhood.

He loved socializing and keeping in touch with many good friends. He was also an active patron of many charities over the years.

Friends are welcome to gather at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre, Richmond Hill, on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday, November 19, 2021, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow. Proof of vaccination and ID is required for all attendees ages 12 and older.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.
