Ballone DanteBALLONE, Constantino 'Dante' - It is with heavy hearts that we announce Constantino’s passing on November 15, 2021 in his 93rd year.

Beloved husband and best friend of 64 years to Giuseppina. (Nella)

Loving father of Patrizia Anne and her husband Paul, Maurizio Ballone and William Ballone. Proud Nonno of Carleigh (Tomasz), Mark, Erica and Sean Publow, and Mikaela Ballone. Cherished bisnonno to Elsie Publow.

Constantino will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and their families in Italy and his family members here in Canada

Constantino or as he liked to be called “Dante” was a hard-working family man who arrived in Canada in 1960 with wife “Nella” and young daughter Patrizia. He like many of his fellow Italians came to Canada to forge a life for his family and settled in the Toronto area. He soon became father to Maurizio and William and bought a home first in Toronto and then in Mississauga.

He retired from the Dufferin Peel Catholic School Board in 1994 after many years of dedicated work as a custodian. Dante spent his years of retirement travelling, gardening, making wine and being a loving nonno to his grandchildren as they grew into young adults. He was a fellow who you could also count on for friendly conversation and a glass of his fantastic home-made wine…and don’t forget the tomatoes that he grew every year in his garden. He will remain in our hearts forever.

Arrangements with Scott Funeral Home, Mississauga chapel.

In lieu of flowers please donate to Canadian Cancer Society.

The family wishes to extend our appreciation for being with us during this time of grief.
