FERNANDES, Cassilda - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Cassilda (Cassy) Eletina Fernandes (D'Souza) on Monday, November 15, 2021 at the age of 99.
Cassy passed away peacefully, with her family by her side.
Beloved wife of the late George Fernandes.
Loving mother of Victor (Gloria), Ida D'Souza (Xavier), Dr. Bernie, Professor Emeritus (University of Toronto) and Martha Marcano.
Doting grandmother of Patricia, Sandra and Julia. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all her extended family and friends in Canada, India, Tanzania, UK, Australia and the USA.
Cassy was a participant in the activities of the Westend Seniors and the Active Adult Centre, Mississauga.
An adventurous traveller, creative knitter and crocheter, line dancer, and prize winning truque player, she also found great pleasure in making jigsaw puzzles, word search puzzles and other challenging puzzles.
Visitation Arrangements with the Catholic Cremation Services Assumption Cemetery, Mississauga, Ontario, on Sunday, November 21, 2021. The Funeral Service will be private.
