Kiyonaga WakikoKIYONAGA, Wakiko  -  April 23, 1922 – November 11, 2021

Wakiko passed away peacefully, on November 11, 2021 at the Toronto Western Hospital, at the age of 99.

Beloved wife of the late Kiheiji Kiyonaga.

Loving mother to the late Richard (Jennifer), Norman, Allan (Heather) and Aika (Bob).

Cherished grandmother of Tomiko (Greg), Kiyomi (Orest), Hudson, Mark (Arielle) and Matthew and great-grandmother (Bachan) to Asher, Caleb, Lev, Liliana and Olena.

Predeceased by parents Hisakichi and Tei Suyama, and brothers Kunio, Masahiro (Japan) and Kakuichiro (Japan).

She leaves brothers Tokugi and Eiji and sisters Masayo Abe, Meiko Bando, Yoshimi Maikawa and Juneko Nakano.

Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Wakiko and Kiheiji welcomed into their home and cared for their parents and many siblings while raising their children, and she was a valued employee of the Ministry of the Environment until her retirement.

A private family service has taken place.

Donations may be made in her memory, if you wish, to the Momiji Health Care Society, the Toronto Buddhist Church or a charity of your choice.
