Bowes ShirleyBOWES, Shirley Morden   -  It is with profound sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved Shirley at Chester Village (Toronto) on November 28, 2021 in her 93rd year.

The best and most beautiful mother in the world.

Loved and held in high regard by all who knew her for her kindness and thoughtfulness.

During her career, she worked at Western Insurance, Red Cross, TD Bank, Lambert Lodge, Echo Canada and retired as legal secretary for the law department of Imperial Oil Limited.

Very artistic and creative, Shirley sewed clothes, did quilting and millinery, sketched and painted and was a great cook and baker.

She loved cottage life, country drives, eating out, music, dancing, dogs, playing Scrabble and was fabulous at crossword puzzles!

Forever and deeply loved by daughter Christine Greenland (John) of Toronto.

Greatly missed by step-children Martha Denning (Tony) of Oakville, Miriam McDermott (Eugene) of Toronto and Stan Jones (Julie) of Whitby.

Loving Grandma to Mark Greenland, Reilly McDermott, Nicholas and Ian Denning and Ryan Jones. Special Aunt Shirley to Karen Boucher (Michael). Dear Godmother to Lori Jones. A favourite of many family and friends.

Predeceased by her dear husbands Morley Burnham and Stanley Jones, her parents Evelyn Rice Johnston and Howard Morden and brother R. Fraser Morden.

Our sincere thanks to the caring team at Chester Village! Donations to Chester Village (Broadview Foundation) would be appreciated.

Interment at the Stouffville Cemetery at a later date.
