A retired Royal Banker, born in Winnipeg, his career took him across Canada.
Beloved husband of Marian, proud father of Eric (Carole) and David (Annick).
Loving grandfather of Tess, Samantha and Lindsey.
Dear brother of Pearl Stelmack.
An avid curler, Al learned from his father, Lincoln, and uncle, Leo, respectively the lead and skip of the team that won the brier for Manitoba in 1934.
They also introduced him to golf – which he played whenever he could, wherever he was – and he was an active member of the Lambton Golf and Country Club for over three decades.
The family is grateful to the staff and palliative care team at Sunrise (Erin Mills) for their care and support.
A private family service has been held.
