DOUITSIS, George P. - 1930 - 2021 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Douitsis at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on December 17, 2021 at the age of 91.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years Kay and their children Peter, Chris (Andrea), and Anne.
He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Taylor and Mitchell. George was predeceased by his parents Pantelis and Evdoxia and his brother Aristidis. He will be missed by his sister Margaret.
He will also be greatly missed by his nephews Peter (Sophia), Angelo (Lee), John (Debbie) and their children. Special loving consideration to the Zoras and Vassos families.
A retired restaurant owner, George loved to garden and watch the Leafs.
A special thank you to the incredible staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, his geriatric care medical team, PSWs, the WLHIN and his caring neighbours.
Visitation will be at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, ON, on Tuesday, December 21st from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. A private service and interment will follow.
Proof of full vaccination, along with government issued ID are mandatory to attend indoor funeral services for those age 12 and older. Masks are required.
