SWAN, Frank David - April 30, 1937 - December 17, 2021
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Frank David Swan, on December 17, 2021.
Beloved husband of Dorothy, father of Michael (Georgia) and Stacey and grandfather to Michael Jr. Born in Toronto, David had a long career in the trucking industry, first as a mechanic with International Harvester through to his final career with Dana Canada Corporation.
Ever the consummate salesman, David loved his travels to customers all over Canada and the US.
He had an uncanny gift of remembering everyone he ever met no matter how brief the meeting.
He would remember the names and details of people he met once 20 years ago.
David also loved being outdoors – camping, boating, snowmobiling, and fishing. He raised his sons with all-day adventures on a snowmobile through the most beautiful parts of this province.
Charismatic and caring, he was happiest when surrounded by his family with a plate of chicken wings and a pint of beer.
On his last day, he was lucky to be surrounded by the people he loved the most – his wife, son, grandson, daughter-in-law and his sister Elizabeth, his nephews Neil and Steven and family friend Kaleigh, who together wished him God speed.
He will be missed by all who loved him.
