NUNZI, Eldenia (MaY) (nee FIDANI) - Mom passed away peacefully, on December 18, 2023, with family by her side.
Eldenia was born on June 22, 1924 to Costanza and Rinaldo Fidani.
She grew up in a close-knit family.
Her sisters all passed now; they were her best friends, Isabel Bartolini, Valia Melchior and Licia Ursini; and sister-in-law, Alma Fidiani.
She will be missed by her brother, Harold (Heather) Fidani; and sister-in-law, Eldenia Silenzi. In 1946, Eldenia married the boy next door, Artemio Nunzi.
They had a great life together, until he passed on August 3, 2003. She is deeply loved by her children, Paula (Louis) Cimini and Arthur (Laura) Nunzi.
Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Daniela (Rick) Balsamo and Melissa Nunzi (Brad Harrison); and her great-grandchildren, Michaela and Lucas Balsamo, and Scarlett and Jackson Guerra.
Auntie May, as she was known to most (related or not), loved all her nieces and nephews and enjoyed hearing from them.
Special thanks to Myrna and Matilde, her special caregivers, who took wonderful care of her.
Friends will be received for visitation at Glendale Funeral Home, 1810 Albion Road, Toronto, Ontario, on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 4 -8 p.m.
Prayers will take place in the Glendale Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 10 a.m., followed by the entombment service at Glendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
