Moore MyraMOORE, Myra 'Ann'  -

January 25, 1943 – January 19, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Myra 'Ann' Moore of Toronto, born January 25, 1943, in Saint John, NB, the only child of the late William Schofield and Frances (Foster) Schofield.

Growing up, Ann was an outgoing cheerleader with a zest for life.

She went to nursing school at Montreal General Hospital and after returning to Saint John married Hugh Richards 'Dick' Steeves, who sadly passed away a few years later.

Ann then moved with her young daughter to Ottawa.

Ann later moved to the U.S. where she began her third career in corporate relocation in Stamford, Connecticut. She retired as an executive in a leading real estate company, receiving national awards.

In Stamford, Ann met Lou Holtermann, whom she loved dearly. When Lou passed, she moved to Toronto where she became a devoted volunteer at her church, providing care and nourishment to those without homes. But her family was her greatest passion, as a loving mother and doting grandmother.

Ann is often described as 'a force of nature,' never afraid to say what she thought.

She was passionate about politics and savoured a heated debate. Ann dearly loved her many friends, maintaining strong relationships throughout her life.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Alison Steeves; son-in-law, Pearse Dolan; grandson, Hugh Dolan, and her beloved Steeves and Dolan extended family.

A service and reception will be held at the Church of the Redeemer, Toronto on February 3, 2024, 11:00 a.m.

Donations in Ann's memory may be made to the church's Common Table.
