      Ontario Junior Hockey League, Whitby Fury Junior A Hockey Club, in conjunction with Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, invite the community to sign a guestbook of condolence at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby in memory of the players and team personnel who lost their lives in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

    The book will be available daily from  9 a.m. - 8 p.m. until Monday, April 23rd, at which time the book will be sent to the OJHL offices to be sent to the team in Saskatchewan

HumboldtStrong BannerA book of remembrance and support has been placed in the lobby of the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME for residents of Oshawa, Whitby and Clarington. This will be sent to the community of Humboldt to show our support and solidarity.

Feel free to add to our memorial in front of the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME.

Hockey sticks will be donated to support minor hockey in our community.

As well, OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL and DIGNITY MEMORIAL will make a donation to support Minor Hockey for every stick collected.

ALMOND, Helen Frances (nee McLean) - Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the age of 68 years.

Helen Almond, loving mother of Mary Wegg (Dan) and predeceased by her son David Almond.

Cherished grandmother of Daniel and Caytlin.

Survived by her sister Patricia Leach.

Predeceased by her good friend Patricia Deavitt-Brown.

Fondly remembered by her extended family and friends.

Long-time employee of York Regional Board of Education.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Helens life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
