LACZKO, Mari  - With utterly broken hearts, we are saddened to make the announcement of the passing of Mari Laczko on Wednesday, March 9, 2018 at 6 a.m. at Humber River Hospital in North York.

She was 54; much too young for leaving us so soon.

She is survived by her sister, Martha Lawton; her niece, Kristi McConnell; her common-law partner and best friend in life, Ken Koltz; as well as all our extended families.

She was a unique, funny, kind soul, who lived her life to the fullest and told it like it was. She had a heart of gold. She was compassionate, helpful and diligent in her advocacy for stray animals and was sentimental through and through where her friends and family were concerned.

A graveside service, for family, friends and colleagues will be held at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Road, North York, on Saturday, May 19th at 11 a.m.  Meet in the main lobby of the Funeral Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Toronto Animal Rescue or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Mari will sorely be missed by all. Friends and family alike. We will never forget her.
