March 4, 1927 - March 13, 2024
Marion Estelle Wilding (MacBean) passed away peacefully on March 13, 2024, at the age of 97 at Lakeridge Gardens in Ajax, Ontario, surrounded by loving family members.
Marion was born on March 4, 1927, in Taymouth, New Brunswick, to Mother, Jean MacBean, and Father, Ray MacBean.
Marion was known for her humorous spirit, unwavering kindness, and the warming love she provided to her friends and family.
Marion led a rich and happy life, persevering through hardships while sharing laughs with everyone she could. She worked at Laura Secord Chocolates for many years, sweetening the day of her customers with delicious chocolate treats and her infectious smile.
Upon retiring, Marion moved to Fenelon Falls, Ontario, with her late husband Colin Wilding and stayed active in the community with her church and various other social activities.
Marion is predeceased by her sisters, Audrey and Myrtle, and brothers, Scott and Ian.
She is survived by her sister, Gerrie, sisters-in-law, Sandra (Ian) and Anita (Scott), five children, Jim (Irene), Terry (Ginny), Heather (Gary), Wendy (Mike), and Wayne (Christine), seven grandchildren, Michael (Jenna), Kevin (Zoey), Scott (Eden), Melissa, Christopher (Kimmi), Zachary (Jessica), and Jake.
She was also blessed with 11 great grandchildren, Talia, Joe, Elijah, and Vivienne (Michael and Jenna), Foster and Harper (Kevin and Zoey), Kaleb and Emily (Scott and Eden), Grayson and Hadley (Melissa), and the late Andrew (Christopher and Kimmi).
Marion was a true light in all her families’ lives, always showing her love with a story or a helping hand, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A burial service to celebrate Marion’s wonderful life will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Scarborough, Ontario, where she will be laid to rest alongside her late husband Colin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society to honour Marion’s years of support for this great charity.
Marion’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lakeridge Gardens for their care and support in her final years. Her love, kindness, and determination will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
