EVELEIGH, Rexford Leland - Rexford Leland Eveleigh, age 85, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on August 19, 2018.
Born in Belleville, February 24, 1933, son of the late Harry and Dorothy (Bowerman) Eveleigh.
Rex grew up in Prince Edward County and "The County" always had a special place in his heart.
Rex taught math all of his life, retiring as head of the Math Department at Stratford Central Secondary School. Beloved husband of Elaine (Chipeswick).
Loving father of Sharon Ferrato (Ivan), Heather Underwood (Christopher) and Terry Eveleigh. Grandfather of Alec, Aidan, Robson, Caelen and Ashley. Dear brother of Bob Eveleigh (Margaret) and Faye Whattam (Bob).
Predeceased by grandson Kenton Eveleigh, brother-in-law Bob Whattam and his parents-in-law Peter and Olga Chipeswick. Cremation has taken place.
Celebration of Rex's life will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, Stratford, on Saturday, September 8th, at 2 p.m. A reception will follow.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Rex Eveleigh Scholarship Fund.
