Whitley GordonWHITLEY, Gordon Edward Nora - Gordon Edward Nora Whitley, 22, of Toronto, Ontario, suddenly passed away on December 17, 2018.

A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, December 29th at Wilson Memorial Union Church in Watchung, New Jersey.

Burial services will be August 9th at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Ste. Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec where he will be laid to rest near his beloved Lac Brule.

Gordon was born in Plainfield, New Jersey. He graduated from Watchung Hills Regional High School, Warren, New Jersey, in 2013 and was studying Philosophy and Critical Theory at the University of Toronto.

He was loved dearly by his friends and family and will be remembered for his unending compassion, warm ironic humor and sheer wisdom which will live on in his experimental endeavors in art, writing and music. He had a soft spot for rescue animals and was often known to take care of those in need.

In his short life, he enjoyed walks, hikes, adventures, cultural happenings across Canada, U.S. and many other places.

Gordon is survived by his parents Graeme Earle Whitley and Yvette Nora Whitley, his brothers Owen and Stuart, grandmother Geraldine Whitley, and his aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him so much.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Gordon’s name to the Art Gallery of Ontario, NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, or an animal rescue organization. Arrangements entrusted with Trull funeral home, 1111 Danforth Ave., Toronto.
