Huczek JuliaHUCZEK, Julia (nee LANG)  - It is with great sadness that the family of Julia Huczek announce her passing on December 28, 2018, in her 87th year.

Julia was born in Lwów, Poland.

When she was just a teenager she came to Canada, arriving at Pier 21 in Halifax like so many others hoping to call Canada their home.

She loved Canada and became a Canadian citizen on Valentine's Day in 1955.

Julia was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Walter, mother of predeceased son George (Michelle), Henry and Peter (Danusia).

Grandmother of Jonah, Brandon and Brayden. She was predeceased by her sisters Irene and Toni.

Thank you to all of the wonderful staff and friends that she made in the last two years of her life at the Westbury Long Term Care Residence where she was loved by all and was treated with care and dignity.

Friends and family will be received at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, Mississauga, on Wednesday, January 2nd from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Rosary (Róaniec) will be recited at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 4260 Cawthra Road, on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow.
