Shaw JohnSHAW, John Beverly - Sadly we announce the death of John on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Toronto General Hospital.

John was born in Toronto September 28, 1929 to Jessie (Bavington) and Clare Shaw.

He is survived by his loving brother Robert (Ann) Shaw and their two daughters, Lindsey and Heather.

John attended U.C.C. and U of T and spent his working career in investment banking. His favourite recreational space was his cottage at Long Point on Balsam Lake.

John was a true gentleman, kind, thoughtful and intelligent. He valued greatly his friendships with others. He was respected and loved by all members of his family as he continued to participate and be interested in all aspects of their lives. He was an involved member of his church and denomination and an active volunteer in the community.

John will be greatly missed by Helen, his wife of 57 years and by his children, Susan (Jeff Turner) Shaw, Hilary (Ray) Adamson, Andrew (Anna) Shaw and Meredith (David Chisholm) Shaw.

His grandchildren have lost an amazing Papa, Andrew Willson, Robyn (Blake) Morgan, Fraser (Lisa Watzinger) Willson and Connor Willson; Jessica and Spencer Adamson; Victoria and Avery Shaw; Madeline, Sydney, Heidi and Elise Chisholm.

John was thrilled with the addition of two great-grandchildren, Grayson and June Morgan.
