RUSSELL, Norman Edward  -  Born in in post-war Luxembourg to Warrant-Officer John Russell and Franceska Lamparski.

Norman passed away peacefully on December 23rd with his dear friends Maria, Tessie and Paul at his side.

Norman spent his first 12 years in Dudelange.

Norman moved to New York City with his mother and brothers Mark and Ivor.

After a couple years the brothers moved to Sudbury to live with an aunt.

Norman worked underground at INCO and started a family that resulted in three sons, Steven, Craig and Kurt. After upgrading his education at Cambrian College, seeking adventure, the family moved to South America where Norman worked as a mining engineer.

Norman was beloved by his friends for his generosity and extraordinary tales of his life experiences. His daughters-in-law, Angela and Gilliane were victims of his quick wit.

Every Christmas resulted in alpaca hats, scarves and mitts shipped to his five grandchildren, Georgian, Derika, Aneira, Lukas and Karina who affectionately called him "Abuelo".

A celebration of his life will be held in Lima in February.
