BEVERLY, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) (nee FERGUSSON)  - Passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at the age of 98.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Charles and sister Marguerite.

Cherished mother of Jeanne (Larry) Cook, Bill (Nancy) Beverly, and Rob (Karen) Beverly.

Much loved grandma of Jordan Rose (Kris), Lindsay Anstett (Jeff), Meaghan and Sarah Beverly, and Carleigh, Kate, and Jack Beverly.

Great-grandmother of Wren and August Rose, and Charlotte and Isabelle Anstett. Born in Pictou, Nova Scotia, on May 6, 1920, to William and Jean (née English) Fergusson. Betty attended Acadia University before starting to work as a teller at the Bank of Nova Scotia. Betty and Chuck married in 1946 and lived in Toronto.

In 1955, they moved to Scarborough, where they raised their three children. Betty was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years.

She enjoyed her early morning walks at Scarborough Town Centre and dance and fitness classes at Birkdale Community Centre. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at McCowan Retirement Residence, TransCare, and Qualicare who have cared for Betty over the last 4 years.

The family will receive friends at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 115 St. Andrews Road (Scarborough) from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 14, 2019. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
