Dixon ElizabethDIXON, Elizabeth Agnes Betty   - Passed away peacefully with her family at her side on January 6, 2019 in her 94th year.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Bob, in 2008 and is survived by her children Jamie (Judi), Anne and Jane (Peter) and grandchildren Brian, Michael, Rebecca, Jennifer and Chris.

Betty lived a full life.

Born in Walkerville, Ontario (now part of Windsor) in 1924 to Dr. E.F. and Florence Jamieson, she attended King George Public School and Walkerville Collegiate Institute.

Upon graduation, she enlisted in the RCAF Women's Division, serving proudly in the Filter Room at Eastern Command in Halifax during WWII.

After the war, Betty attended the University of Toronto, graduating as a physiotherapist in 1947. She returned to Windsor and began working at the Detroit Orthopedic Clinic.

After meeting the love of her life, Bob Dixon, at Willistead Library, they wed in 1949. There followed a life of loving and devoted partnership and family

She will be dearly missed for her quick wit and warm sense of humour.

A special thanks to the great staff and volunteers at Mississauga Extendicare.

In memory of a wonderful life, send flowers to a loved one or donate to the charity of your choice.
