MAROSFALVY, Laszlo - Passed away peacefully, in the Lord on April 7, 2024, in his 92nd year and in the 72rd year of his Jesuit life.
He was ordained in 1956 in Hungary.
After the Revolution, he escaped and immigrated to Canada. From 1962-79, he was teaching mathematics at the St. Paul's High School, Winnipeg.
Then he went to Toronto and participated in computer programming in the administration of the Jesuit Province.
Les returned to Hungary and worked in the economic and financial administration of the Hungarian Province between 1992-2002.
In 2003, Les returned to Toronto, where he ministered at St. Elizabeth Parish, first as a chaplain, then between 2006-08 as pastor, later as assistant to the pastor.
Visitation for Fr. László will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 432 Sheppard Ave. East, North York.
