Born in 1946 in San Francisco, James immigrated to Canada, earning a PhD in Clinical Psychology (York).

He was focused in healthcare and education and took pride in supporting others.

An accomplished natural athlete, he was a lifelong member of the Toronto sailing community and a great grand master of the laser racing fleet.

He lived for his family and loved ones.
