Book DianeBOOK, Diane Elizabeth (nee PELLIZZARI)  - With broken hearts we announce the passing of Diane on December 30, 2017 at the age of 58, after suffering a stroke on Christmas morning at her beloved cottage near Kincardine, Ontario.

She was surrounded by her family, whom she loved unconditionally and were blessed to be with her.

She was the cherished wife and best friend to Barrett and beloved mother to Stephen and Johnathan.

Diane will be deeply missed by her many sisters and brothers, sisters and brothers-in-law, daughters-in-law, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Diane was diagnosed with advanced cancer 19 months ago, but refused to let the diagnosis define her.

The love, kindness and strength she showed throughout her life continued to guide her family while she battled this horrific disease. Her magnetic smile and love of life never wavered. Her ability to challenge weakness and to keep active, as she always had, was a testament to her character.

Her perseverance was the envy of adored friends and family. Diane's zest for life took her many places, but she was happiest at her cottage, on the beach, surrounded by her friends and family.

Her intoxicating personality, sense of humour and optimism will be missed by all who knew her. Her final act of generosity was to donate her body to medical science, hoping to aid others suffering from the disease that eventually took her.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Mississauga, Ontario, on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American or Canadian Cancer Societies would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
