KILBOURN, Nicholas Morley Sawyer - November 4, 1954 – January 30, 2018
Nicholas left this world suddenly but peacefully in his sleep on January 30th.
He was an intense person of many talents.
With an extraordinary gift for music he wrote a symphony at age 17 and conducted a performance of it at Jarvis Collegiate.
Nicholas also won the Governor General's Gold Medal in Physics. As a teen he learned and wrote computer languages long before it was mainstream. Unfortunately, due to illness he did not develop his enormous potential.
Predeceased by his infant son Matthew, his father William (Bill) Kilbourn and his sister Hilary, Nicholas is survived by his mother Elizabeth, former wife Mari Creal, aunt Rosemary, sister Philippa (Adriano), brothers Tim (Bekzat) and Michael, by nieces and nephews Sebastian and Kenneth, Oriana, Aidana and Benjamin.
Remembered by Hingston, Steele, Stewart and Bryson cousins.
We will miss Nick's sweet disposition, gentle demeanor and twinkling blue eyes.
A service to commemorate his life will be held Wednesday, February 7th at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Church on-the-Hill, 300 Lonsdale Road, Toronto. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nick's memory may be made to Ontario Nature, Gerstein Crisis Centre, or CAMH.
