Gibbons MarleneGIBBONS, Marlene Sandra  - It is with great sadness that the family of Marlene Gibbons of Quispamsis, NB announces her passing, which occurred on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Born on July 3, 1947 in Toronto, ON, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Eva (Akers) Bowles.

Marlene treasured the times spent with those she loved and especially looked forward to the times with her grandchildren who were her world

 

Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Cheryl Maki (Allan) of Thunder Bay, ON, Lori Wint of Quispamsis, NB and Sandy Simpson (Robert) of Guelph, ON; brothers, Herbert (Kathy), George (Mary) and Richard (Angie) all of Ontario; adored grandchildren, Michael, Kelly, Hailey, Nicholas, Hannah, Rebecca and Emma; precious great-grandson, Matthew; childhood friend, Dianne Francis of Ontario; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Christina Colbeck.

Marlene's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to family friend, Dianne of Quispamsis, NB, the staff of Extra Mural and Palliative Care for the excellent care that was always provided to her.

The support and compassion shown towards Marlene will never be forgotten. In keeping with Marlene's wishes, no visitation will take place and a celebration of her life will be held in Ontario at a later date. Arrangements with Brenan's Funeral Home, Saint John, NB.

For those who wish, remembrances made to the SJRH Palliative Care Unit c/o the SJRH Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
