Everett HaroldEVERETT, Harold N.  - August 23, 1933 - May 25, 2018

Born in Oxford County, ON, passed away at Quinte Gardens, Belleville, surrounded by his family.

In his adult life, Harold was a 29 year resident of Sudbury and a 37 year resident of Markham.

He was a descendant of the Bursey/Helmkey/Stiver founding families of Markham.

Harold was a professional driver with CP Express and Imperial Oil for a combined 40 years.

He also drove numerous miles on his personal time. Harold was proud to be accident-free his entire life. Harold was an avid supporter, volunteer and benefactor of the Navy League of Canada, the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets and the Markham Museum. Harold is predeceased by his first wife Charlotte (Wallace), sisters Bertha and Helen and son-in-law Patrick Galbraith.

Harold is survived by his wife of 53 years, Arla Jean (Hill). He was a loving father to Shayne Everett (Brenda), Brenda Galbraith (Bill Jenkinson), Norman Everett (Rose) and Barbara Milburn (Scott). He was proud to have 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at: Chaple Ridge Funeral Home,Markham, ON. Visitation: Friday, June 1st 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, June 2nd 10-11 a.m. Funeral Service: 11 a.m., reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

The family would like to extend a sincere "Thank You" to all who provided such wonderful support and care to Harold throughout his illness.
